everyone has their own views of god, yes? maybe that was his plan. to reveal himself to us in different ways and see if we are capable of accepting and believing others when they share with us what they believe in. not even going on the differences and similarities of all the worlds religions but the differences and similarities of what one group of christians believe in. everyone has their own idea of who god is and who is anyone to try and say that that's not the truth? because to that person it is the truth and who are we to judge when someone has the ability to believe in a bigger picture and a higher power, no matter how they see it, at the end of the day isn't every religion the idea of believing in something or someone that holds a bigger picture for us all, believing in something that we can't see but that we can feel and know is there even though we can't see it? if someone has the ability to put all their faith in this power/thing/person/spirit/etc who is anyone to judge when they've simply done something that many people can't? they've put their lives over to the invisible on simple faith and that to me is respectable enough because in a world that constantly shits on everyone and throws things at you left and right, being able to turn yourself over to anything, in belief that this greater power has a reason for doing all of this to us, no matter what the power, a tree, god, buddha, an animal, anything, the ability to have faith in anything is amazing. to christians (my religion) god/jesus/the holy spirit is the only way, but maybe one of his tasks for us is to open our eyes and not be masked by the differences of religions. every religion aims for the same thing, if followed most religions have the same outcome (at least of what i know of them i may be wrong) maybe god is masking himself behind other names to see if we all can find it in ourselves to accept everyone based on their faith and love for worship and idea of a bigger picture.
THIS PROBABLY MAKES NO SENSE I JUST WOKE UP WITH THIS IN MY HEAD AND WANTED TO WRITE IT DOWN BEFORE I FORGOT. |
